Hey everyone, this week I spent a lot of time thinking about Web 3.0 or the decentralized web. I attended Signature Berlin, a Blockstack Event and had the opportunity to be surrounded by a group of people (including Edward Snowden via Hangouts) gung-ho about about the next major iteration of the internet and found myself filled with hope on the possibilities. I came away having learned a lot, perhaps I’ll write some on that in the future, but for now, I wanted to share some related articles.
I think as blockchain and crypto have become buzzwords, it’s important to really try to understand the technology and it’s potential impact on you as a person and as a professional. This week, you’ll find a really great piece by Chris Dixon on why decentralization matters that i feel is a good starting place to understanding what many think will be the way the internet works in the coming years and why it’s important.
You’ll also find a great piece on blockchain in martech - definitely click through to the full visualization on that one after reading the interview piece.
There will definitely be more from me to come on these topics in 2018, as always, let us know what you’d like to see. (And try the new suggest an article feature in the footer, thanks Revue!).
Best,
Mitchell
